At the MLA Summit for the Future of Doctoral Education, three-person institutional teams will collaborate with MLA staff members and experts in graduate curricula and careers to redefine doctoral education in the humanities. Teams will develop tools and strategies to reinvigorate their programs and create real change. We’ll cover curricular and cocurricular initiatives, departmental culture change, mentorship and advising, and more.

Teams must include one department leader (e.g., chair or director of graduate studies) and one graduate student; the third team member can be
- another faculty member engaged or interested in program change
- a second graduate student
- a graduate career professional
- a dean or other administrator
- an alum of the program
